وَالإلْهَامُ لَيْسَ مِنْ أَسْبَابِ المَعْرِفَةِ بِصِحَّةِ الشَّيْءِ عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الحَقِّ.

  1. Although maʿrifa is better translated as cognition in this instance knowledge is more apporiate and closer to the aim of the author. Taftazani comments that Nasafi here used maʿrifa to mean knowledge of limited scope in contrast to (ʿilm) as knowledge of unlimited scope.
